Privacy policy

What I collect

Contact form. If you send a message through the form, I receive the details you enter (such as your name, email address, website address and message). The form is processed by Formspree, which passes it to me by email. I use it only to reply to you and to quote for work you ask about. If you arrive from an ad, the form records the ad’s click ID and source so I can see which ads lead to enquiries.

Email, phone and WhatsApp. If you contact me directly, I keep the messages and your contact details so I can deal with your enquiry. WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp under their own privacy policy.

Technical data. Like any website, the server and hosting provider may log your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, for security and to keep the site running.

Cookies and advertising

I advertise my own services on Google, and Google may use cookies and similar technologies on this site to measure how those ads perform (for example, whether a visit led to an enquiry) and to prevent fraud.

• Where required, these cookies are only set after you agree through the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your cookies for this site.
• You can manage or turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.
• You can find out how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Why I use your data

I process personal data to respond to your enquiries and provide the services you ask for (contract and legitimate interests), to keep the site secure (legitimate interests), and to set non-essential cookies (your consent).

Who I share it with

Only the services needed to run the site and handle your enquiry: Formspree (contact form), my email and hosting providers, WhatsApp (if you use it), and Google (ad measurement, if you consent). I do not sell your personal data. Some of these providers process data outside the UK, under safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long I keep it

Enquiry messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and for up to 2 years afterwards, unless we start working together, in which case I keep records for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, object to its use, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Email me and I will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

If this policy changes I will update the date at the top of this page.
