WordPress websites
WordPress, built properly.
A custom WordPress site that’s fast, simple to edit and doesn’t fall over after an update. Built for your organisation, not squeezed into a template.
Is WordPress right for you?
A great fit for most organisations.
WordPress runs a huge share of the web for good reason. But it isn’t right for everyone, and we’ll tell you if it isn’t.
WordPress suits you if…
- You post news, events, jobs or blog articles often
- Several people need to update the site
- You want to sell online, take bookings or run a members area
- You’d like plenty of choice of who looks after it in future
You might be better with…
- A static site if your site rarely changes and you want it as fast and low maintenance as possible. More about static sites →
- SilverStripe if you have strict security, publishing approval or accessibility requirements. More about SilverStripe →
How it’s built
No bloated themes. No plugin pile-up.
Many WordPress sites start with a cheap theme, a page builder and dozens of plugins. It looks fine at launch, then gets slower, harder to edit and more fragile with every update. We do it differently.
-
Built for your content
A custom theme designed around your pages, not a one-size-fits-all template with features you’ll never use.
-
An editor that makes sense
Ready-made blocks for your headings, galleries, team, events and calls to action. You fill them in, the design takes care of itself.
-
Only the plugins you need
Less moving parts means faster pages, less security holes and updates that don’t break things.
-
Fast on every phone
Lean code and properly sized images, so pages load quickly and Google rewards you for it.
Already on WordPress?
Stuck with a site that’s let you down?
You don’t need to start again. Often a careful tidy-up gets an existing WordPress site back in shape for a fraction of the cost of a rebuild.
-
Slow to load, or a poor score on Google’s speed test
-
Hacked, or showing spam and warnings
-
Broken after an update, or too risky to update at all
-
Built with a page builder nobody can work out
-
The developer has gone and taken the know-how with them
WordPress health check
We review your site’s security, speed, plugins, hosting and backups, then give you a plain-English report and a fixed price to fix what matters. If a rebuild makes more sense, we’ll say so.
Moving platforms
Switching over, without starting over.
Moving from Wix, Squarespace, an old CMS or a hand-built site? Your pages, posts, images and documents come with you. Old links are redirected so visitors and Google can still find everything, and nothing goes live until you’ve checked it.

Questions
WordPress questions, answered.
Yes. We start with a health check so we both know what we’re dealing with, then agree a fixed price for any fixes.
We can support sites built that way. For new sites we build without them, because they slow pages down and make the site harder to keep updated. Our editor gives you the same flexibility with less to go wrong.
Not if they’re handled properly. On a care plan, updates are tested before they go live, and there’s always a recent backup to roll back to.
We can set up fast, secure UK hosting in your name, or work with your current host if it’s up to the job.
Yes, using WooCommerce. Good for small to medium shops, with payments, stock and delivery options you can manage yourself.
You do. The domain, hosting, content and logins are all in your name.
Most WordPress sites take one to six weeks, depending on size. You’ll have a timeline in writing before we start.
