SilverStripe websites
Secure, organised and built to last.
SilverStripe websites for organisations with lots of content, several editors and no room for security slip-ups. New builds, ongoing support and upgrades from older versions.
Is SilverStripe right for you?
Made for organisations with more to manage.
SilverStripe is less well known than WordPress, but it’s trusted by governments, councils and large charities for good reason. It isn’t the right choice for everyone, and we’ll tell you if it isn’t.
SilverStripe suits you if…
- Several teams or departments edit the site
- Content needs checking and approving before it goes live
- Security and data protection are non-negotiable
- You need to meet accessibility standards and prove it
- Your site is large, structured or holds a lot of documents
You might be better with…
- WordPress if you’re a smaller team that wants a familiar editor and lots of add-on choice. More about WordPress →
- A static site if your site rarely changes and you want it as lean as possible. More about static sites →
Why SilverStripe
No surprises, more control.
-
Secure by design
A small, well-maintained core with few third-party add-ons, so there’s far less to attack and far less to go wrong.
-
The right access for each person
Give each editor or team exactly the permissions they need, and nothing more.
-
Check before it goes live
Draft, preview and approve changes before publishing. Every version is kept, so you can see who changed what and roll back.
-
Tidy for editors
A clear page tree and structured content, so even a very large site stays easy to find your way around.
Already on SilverStripe?
Support and upgrades from people who know it.
SilverStripe developers can be hard to find in the UK. If your original developer has moved on, or your site is stuck on an old version, we can pick it up.
-
Running on SilverStripe 3 or 4 and no longer getting security updates
-
Modules that won’t upgrade, or custom code nobody understands
-
Hosting that’s out of date or poorly set up
-
No one to call when something breaks
-
Changes take weeks because nobody knows the codebase
SilverStripe site review
We look over your code, version, modules, hosting and security, then give you a plain-English report and a fixed price for an upgrade or ongoing support. Upgrading is usually far cheaper than a rebuild, and your editors keep working the way they already do.
Track record
Over a decade with SilverStripe.
We’ve built and looked after SilverStripe sites for government bodies, care providers and membership platforms, including long-running sites with high security needs and complex publishing workflows. Several have been carried through major version upgrades without disrupting the people who use them every day.

Questions
SilverStripe questions, answered.
Yes. We start with a review so we both know what we’re dealing with, then agree a fixed price for support or any work needed.
Older versions no longer get security fixes, so yes, an upgrade is worth planning. It’s usually far less work than a rebuild, and your content stays where it is.
Not really. Most editors find it tidier, because the page tree and content are well organised and they only see what they need.
SilverStripe is open source with a well-established community, and everything we build is documented and handed to you. You’re never locked in.
We can set up secure UK hosting in your name, or work with your current host or IT team.
You do. The domain, hosting, code, content and logins are all in your name.
New sites usually take three to eight weeks, upgrades often less. You’ll have a timeline in writing before we start.
